The Raver

The Rave subculture began in the United Kingdom in the 1980s. The Rave subculture is comprised of youth - mostly from the ages of 15-25 - who enjoyed attending secretive all-night deejayed dance parties with techno, house, acid jazz and trace music. To heighten their sensual experience they would also do illicit drug such as, ecstasy and LSD. Ravers would wear anything from badass rave masks, neon t-shirts to plasma rave shoes; anything bright or glowing. Due to its secrecy, many in the mainstream know little about the rave subculture other than the stereotypical portrayal of crazy parties and drug use.

Below, I have put together my interpretation of an 80's Raver.
