The Goth

The Goth subculture, started in the England during the early-1980s. It was developed from the gothic rock scene, itself an offshoot of the post-punk genre. The Goth subculture adopts dark fashion elements such as black clothing (including period-styled), dyed black hair, dark make-up, black finger nails; everything black! They took pride in being distinct from mainstream culture, and their dark style of dress depicts their choice to operate from conventional norms and standards. Goths often had interests in victorian and medieval history, contemporary horror cinematography and literature. They also had a fascination with death.

I have put together my interpretation of a Gothic look below.
